  • Cookies and similar technologies: see the Cookies section below.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data to:

  • Create and manage your account and profile;
  • Enable you to connect with other members on the platform;
  • Review new profiles, profile updates, photos and reports to maintain community standards;
  • Manage favourites, profile views, private photo requests, blocking and ignoring features;
  • Process paid memberships, renewals, cancellations, invoices and payment support;
  • Send you transactional emails (account verification, password reset, notifications);
  • Provide customer support and respond to your enquiries;
  • Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, or illegal activity;
  • Analyse usage patterns to improve the platform's features and performance;
  • Comply with legal obligations (e.g., fraud prevention, law enforcement requests);
  • Send you service announcements or changes to our policies.

We will not use your data for purposes that are incompatible with the purposes listed above without obtaining your explicit consent first.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), we process personal data under the following legal bases:

  • Contract performance — to provide the dating service you signed up for;
  • Consent — for optional cookies, marketing communications, and other processing you explicitly agree to;
  • Legitimate interests — to prevent fraud, secure the platform, and improve our services;
  • Legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws and regulations.

4. Profile, Messaging and Private Photos

Your profile is designed to be shown inside the Service according to account settings, membership rules and our safety systems. Public-facing pages may show limited profile previews, while registered members may see more information depending on their account status and the features available to them.

Messages and attachments are stored so conversations can function, support can investigate abuse reports, unread counts can work and members can manage their own message history. Deleting a conversation from your account may remove it from your view without necessarily removing the other member's copy or records required for safety, billing or legal purposes.

Private photo access is controlled through requests and permissions. We store who requested access, who granted or revoked it, and when the permission changed. This allows you to manage access and allows us to investigate misuse.

5. Payments and Membership Data

If you buy a membership, payment details are processed by our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers or full payment credentials. We may store the plan selected, billing period, payment provider customer identifiers, subscription identifiers, transaction status, renewal date, cancellation status, invoice references, refund status and payment-related support notes.

Payment data is used to activate features, prevent fraud, handle refunds and chargebacks, calculate subscription status, send billing notices and meet tax, accounting and legal obligations.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share data with:

  • Service providers who help us operate the platform, including hosting, database infrastructure, storage, email delivery, payment processing, anti-spam/security checks, CDN/DNS, analytics and support tools;
  • Payment providers a secure third-party payment provider, where necessary to process purchases, renewals, cancellations, refunds and disputes;
  • Email providers such as Resend, where necessary to send account, security, support and notification emails;
  • Law enforcement or regulatory bodies when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users;
  • Successor entities in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — you will be notified in advance.

Your profile information (name, photo, "About me", and profile details) is visible to other registered members. Your email address is never shown publicly on the platform.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account:

  • Your profile and uploaded media are removed or deactivated within 30 days after a verified deletion request;
  • Messages may be removed from your account view, while records needed for safety investigations, disputes or legal compliance may be retained for a limited period;
  • Payment and invoice records may be kept for accounting, tax, fraud-prevention and chargeback reasons;
  • Support tickets and moderation records may be retained where needed to enforce our Terms, prevent abuse or resolve legal claims;
  • Anonymised analytics data may be retained indefinitely;
  • Certain records may be kept for up to 6 years for legal or compliance reasons.

You can request deletion at any time via our Data Deletion page.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS/HTTPS);
  • Bcrypt hashing for passwords — we never store passwords in plain text;
  • Access controls and logging for our internal systems;
  • Regular security reviews of our infrastructure.

No system is 100% secure. If you suspect your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately at [email protected].

Where such transfers occur, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, or we verify that the recipient country provides an adequate level of protection.
